Some people think you need to be doing nude/explicit content to make good money on OnlyFans. 

But this couldn’t be further from the truth. 

Not only can you be effective with non nude content, but you can thrive!

I have a piece explaining everything from A-Z on how to get started on OF for beginners.

I was able to get to $5k+/month doing non-nude content and I’ve seen other girlies make far more than that as well. 

I’m gonna give my best tips on how to do this for your own business and I hope you draw some inspiration from it.

Marketing plan

Marketing for a non-nude account can be different than other explicit creators. 

While other creators can garner more attention by showing more skin... I’ve found it’s best to save that for the PPV’s on your platform. 

Your social medias job is to increase the desire and perceived value of your OF content. 

This allows you to find subscribers who desire your exclusive content so much, they’ll pay top dollar. Even though it's non-nude.

How can we achieve this? 

Post quality 

The quality of your posts have a great impact on the perceived value that it holds. 

There are many celebrity-esque creators who make serious money doing non-nude content. 

Their online online status and quality of posts is what drives the desire for their risqué stuff. 

I recognize that creating posts with a high level of quality requires spending money.

I’m not saying you need to book photoshoots every week. 

But investing in better equipment could do the trick. 

You don’t need fancy cameras, lenses, etc.  

In my experience and from what I’ve seen, the later Iphone models can do this. The 12 and higher seem to have amazing quality!

I shoot with the iPhone 13 right now.

Shooting your best angles are also extremely crucial. 

Understanding your best features and highlighting those in your posts are very important. 

The point it, we want to look expensive here. 

This is what attracts high spenders and desire for your content.

NOTE: It's important to differentiate the content style for each platform. While professional-looking content does well on socials, I've found the opposite for OnlyFans. For me the best combo is: professional for socials, homemade for OnlyFans. Experiment for yourself!

If you can’t invest in better equipment

There’s always a workaround. 

You can still show off your best features no matter what you’re shooting with, so stick with that. 

But, when compensating for a lack of image-quality, let your personality shine through. 

The novelty of OnlyFans is the fact that these guys can talk to you directly. 

Standing out by showing your unique personality can attract buyers to you for who you are. Rather than only sexual attraction. 

I started out with not the best quality content and so I created funny videos that showcased my sense of humor. 

I was also very thoughtful with my captions and used them to dump my thoughts. 

I think these two things helped my account stand out from the rest and attract loyal subscribers. 

Another way to compensate for lack of image quality is by belonging to a unique niche. 

This also helps you stand out which is the name of the game when it comes to OnlyFans marketing! 

Here are some other considerations:

  • Do you have an interesting life story you can share?
  • Do you have another profession that you can niche into?
  • Are you a subject matter expert at anything?
  • What’s something that really fascinates you? That you often find yourself thinking or consuming content about

Any of these things can be what makes your account stand apart from the rest. 

Once you stand out, you're positioned into a pool of far less creators which makes your content rarer. 

Things that become rarer to find, become more valuable. 

Of course, the best of both worlds would be to do both! 

But we have to do what we can with what we have. If there’s a will, there’s a way. :)

OF content

When it comes to OF content, we have to get much more creative. 

The key here is personalization. 

Since we can’t compete with other creators on an explicit level... we have to be creative to encourage spending behavior. 

Something I did that was very popular for me is what I call “girlfriend content.” 

Within the girlfriend content, I’d make videos where I talk to the camera as if the subscriber is my boyfriend. 

For example:

Hey babe, I wish you were here with me right now. I really miss you. I had a long day at work and I’d love to just lay down and relax with you…

Blah blah blah. You get the point. 

In these videos I’d do a lot of teasing and feeling around my body. 

I’d typically break them up into 1-2 min videos and maybe 3-4 of them per set. 

I think selling them this way gives the illusion that you’re offering a lot more than you are.

Compared to sending one, 8 minute long video. 

Also because I’d have my fair share of bad takes that I’d have to re-film. 

JOI’s

For those of you who aren’t familiar, JOI stands of jerk off instructions (I know LOL). 

JOI content is my absolute go-to for non nude content. It’s interactive and fun for the fan! 

It moves their attention away from the fact that it’s non-nude. 

...because they’re focused on following your instructions. 

These can be 3-8 minutes or even longer if you like. 

There are plenty of examples on adult tube sites that can give you inspiration or scripts to follow!

But there is something that made me even more money than just JOI’s…

Themed JOI's

And that’s THEMED JOI’s. 

These are JOI videos on steroids. 

In all seriousness, these are just JOI videos that have a story and a bit of acting to go with it. 

For example:

Step sister JOI. You catch your step brother sniffing your panties and give him a jerk of instruction session. 

Sounds silly, I know. 

But my fans absolutely loved this!

I also have peers in the space who do the same things. 

Some other ideas are:

  • Step mother
  • Teacher
  • Schoolgirl (just don’t use the word schoolgirl because it’s banned on OF. Use “Schoool girl” or something similar)
  • Nurse
  • Boss

Get creative with it! There are lots more. 

Strip teases

Even with non-nude content, you can still pull off a good ol’ striptease. 

Typically, I’d start out in my work or gyms clothes, and work my way down to lingerie. 

If the lingerie was too revealing, I’d put on pasties or things of that nature to keep it non-nude. 

Lingerie try on hauls

This is just a video of you’re trying on different pairs of lingerie. 

I did a lot of these back in the day. 

To be honest, while it is a decent idea, it never made me the most sales. 

It’s worth a try for you and your audience and just measure how well it performs. 

I enjoyed making it from time to time, especially if a fan bought me lord of lingerie. 

I liked to make these videos almost as a thank you to them. 

Fake orgasm content

These are a REAL money maker, I’m tellin’ ya. 

To substitute for my lack of explicitness within my content... I made fake orgasm videos to give the fan the illusion of something explicit happening. 

The human imagination is powerful. 

This type of content leverages that. It allowed me to price quite high for this type of content since it felt so close to being explicit for the fans. 

I’d typically make it like the girlfriend style content but add a climax clip at the end. 

This would just be a selfie video of me having a fake orgasm, rolling my eyes back, moaning, the whole bit. 

I feel like I deserve an Oscar for some of these performances. 

If it’s something you’re comfortable with doing, I’d recommend giving it a shot!

Video calls

Of course, video calls aren’t ideal. 

But if you’re comfortable doing them, they can be a real booster to your earnings!

Figure out beforehand what the fan is expecting and if you can deliver. Sometimes they just want someone to talk to, nothing sexual. 

Always be sure to do it safely!

Avoid doing calls on your real phone number or anything that’s tied to your location. 

Also make sure to receive the tip first and be very clear about the duration of the call. 

GFE packages

GFE packages are another option to monetize your page. 

GFE stands for Girlfriend Experience. 

These are packages that guarantees the fan certain access and deliverables from you. 

For example this may be:

  • Messaging on WhatsApp
  • Daily selfies
  • Good morning voice memos
  • Phone/video calls

And whatever else you’re willing to bundle together. 

They pay upfront for a certain duration of this treatment. 

This works well for all you non-explicit creators. It’s more focused on the girlfriend vibe rather than everything being so sexual. 

Of course, depending on your situation, this also may not be the most ideal. 

Think about what you’re willing to do and what you have time for!

My experience

I used a combination of all these things to get to my first $5k/month with non-nude content. 

The sales came from a mixture of chatting and also mass messages. 

Majority of it came from mass messages since I was only able to chat for a bit at night after I got home from work. 

At the time, I was scheduling about 3 mass messages per week and it would make up about $3-4k of the total $5k. 

But, I should’ve been sending a lot more! Here’s why. 

I frequently ran polls to my audience to get a feel for what type of content they liked — and what they wanted to see next. 

This helped me create content for mass messages that always performed pretty well. Since, I already knew what my fans were looking for.
