Let's cut the BS and dive right in.
What is niche and how can you use it to your advantage?
Niche is one of the most misunderstood subjects in this space.
Finding your niche will allow you to stand out!
...And executing allows you to multiply your earnings.
In this piece, I discuss these topics in detail. Including niche strategies, execution, and why it's so important.
Importance of niche
There is no magic pill for standing out online.
But, niche lets you branch out and connect with your target audience.
This is an age-old principle in the business world.
By finding your niche, you become more specialized.
More rare.
This allows you to dictate prices and please your audience more.
This is one of the most crucial early steps to making money on OF in 2024.
Let's look at niche from a business perspective:
If you sold a course on general sales, the amount of people that relate to it may be greater, but far less targeted. Thus, it'd be more difficult to get people to buy. And certainly more difficult to price high.
But, if you sold a course on sales for OnlyFans creators, it becomes more targeted.
And if you sold a course on sales for OnlyFans creators making $5k/month, it becomes even more targeted.
(And no. I will never sell you a course lol this is just an example)
This is because the people who fit the criteria feel like you're speaking directly to their soul.
So let's do the same thought experiment for picking your niche.
If you market yourself as a blonde creator, that's super broad. You'll be competing with millions of others. It's hard to stand out.
But, if you market as blonde creator who's a nurse, the competition dramatically decreases. Why? Because there are now fewer blonde creators who fit the criteria.
Also, you now attract an audience who isn't just into blonde creators. But, one that's interested in blonde creators who are also nurses.
See how that works?
How to find your niche
Here are some steps to find your niche.
Grab a paper and a pen and write down a list of these things:
- Things you're involved in
- Topics you're knowledgeable about
- Stuff you're interested in
- Things you're curious about
- Past/current jobs
Hopefully, your niche can fall into one (or two) of these categories.
Narrow down your list to your top 2-3 choices.
Next, we have to research.
Niche Researching
Niche research is important because it'll give you a feel for the audience size.
Searching the keywords for your niche in Tiktok, IG, and Reddit, will give you a good idea.
This also gives you an opportunity to see what others in your niche are posting! This inspiration is great for content ideas.
Based on what you find, you should get a solid idea of what's possible.
The next step is simply committing to it! Start making content and distributing it across your marketing channels.
What are the best niches?
Generally, the best niche is the one you stick to.
There's more than enough interest in each niche to make you serious money.
However, I've noticed a trend of "traditionally masculine" niches doing well for female creators.
I mean, really well.
I'm guessing this is because there are much fewer of these creators which makes them rarer.
Also, it allows the male subs to have more immediate things in common with these creators.
Some examples of perceived masculine niches are:
- Cars
- Engineering
- Lifting heavy weights
- Farming
- Software engineering
- Gaming
- Sports (golf, basketball, football, etc)
- Martial arts
- Shooting
- Woodwork
- Barbecuing
- Cryptocurrency
- Survival skills
- Corporate business
- Trading (stocks and crypto)
I've seen plenty of these do amazing.
So, if you do any of these things... it might be worth pursuing for your niche.
Other successful niches
Another group of niches that tend to perform strong are the taboo niches.
These are categories such as:
- Nurse
- Babysitter
- MILF
- GILF
- Stepsister
- Stepmother
- Girl next door
- Schoolgirl
- Teacher/tutor
- Cosplay
There are probably more that I'm missing here. But I think you get the point.
These are all categories that people often fantasize about because of their taboo nature.
It's also pushed in a lot of porn and other adult media.
Why people are into this shit? That's a whole different topic.
BUT, they're clearly successful.
So if you think you fit any of these, just know it can make you some serious money.
I made a list of creators to follow for most of the niches listed above! I'll send it to your email for completely free to help you get inspiration.
3 benefits of niche
Let's talk in depth about the 5 main benefits of niche.
Marketing is easier
When it comes to marketing, there are millions of paths you can take.
What to post? Where to post it?
Your niche answers these questions.
All your posts can relate to your niche in one way or another.
By making a single decision, your long-term marketing theme is clear.
No more overthinking what type of content to make.
Marketing is more efficient
The beloved social media algorithm loves niche.
It's true.
When the algo knows where to place you, it's a good thing.
You're making life easier for Mother Algo because she knows exactly what audience to show you to.
Posting random content that doesn't match up, leads to inefficiency in distribution.
Think of it like this:
You're yanking the algorithm in many directions at once so it doesn't know what audience to show you to.
Picking your niche — and sticking to it, raises the odds of getting traction on social media.
OnlyFans content
Intertwining your niche with your OF content is key.
I make a lot of content based off my niche and they always sell well!
It makes sense.
Your fans are CLEARLY following you because they have a fantasy about your niche.
...so give it to them!
Allow them to indulge in their fantasies (virtually, of course).
Depending on what types of content you make, you can find ways to make it themed with your niche.
For example, I make:
- Nurse JOI
- Nurse role-plays
- Nurse nudes
- Nurse stripteases
- Post-nursing shift showers
- Nursing sexting scripts
Do what you feel comfortable!
Doubling down on on your niche can help you sell more!
You can even create scripts for sexting based around your niche to make them feel like they're getting the real experience.
Play around with some ideas and have fun!
FAQ for niching
Do ALL my posts need to relate to my niche?
Not every single one needs to! Majority should be. If you plan on posting other content, you can make separate pages.
All-in-all
Don't overlook your niche.
Spend quality time planning what you want it to be. Then stick to it.
This is something I wish I had focused on earlier because it would've sped up my progress so much!
